* * INTRODUCING THE FIRST GENIZAH CEMETERY IN THE US * *

_________________________________________________________

Beth Genizah Olam stands strongly under the Vaad Lmishmeres Hashaimos and the OU. We are currently developing our very own plot and we are looking to get full recognition from the DEC as we did after Hurricane Sandy. Under the Personal leadership of Reb Yosef Schwartz. Our Goal is to make this a FREE service to the entire Jewish community, by offering pre-pesach Shaimos collections one small box of Shaimos per household. So we can bring back the Kidush Hashem in this Mitzvah and completely stop the Chilul Hashem.  We are totally equipped, ready and able to do this holy type of work by installing many improvements including the usage of only big Tractor Trailers. we are fully committed to the Mitzvah of Shaimos L'Gnizah, to safely Storage away or to bury Holy Jewish Articles. PLEASE HELP!! this operation is extremely costly, please contact us to take part in this special big Mitzvah.

Please note: Recently, someone dropped a big load of Shaimos on our property somewhere between our storage containers in Kiamesha Lake NY.
Although we are still investigating this incident, and make no mistake about it, we will find those who did it. (so please make sure to come forward and settle with us) We would like to state the following.

Visiting the Beth Genizah  is possible by appointment only. No Trespassing!!!
** Warning** Our 3 locations are heavily gated and locked under steady security. Dumping Shaimos without permission at any of our locations either in Monroe, Monticello or in Liberty will be considered like dumping it on the road of the town, with harsh consequences!!! all properties are under 24 hour Security surveillances.

Let us finish by saying, that over all the Shaimos issue got a whole lot better. No longer will you hear stories about Shaimos ending up in landfills or buried in a manner that is not halachically proper, or in a manner that violates the legal requirements for the usage of the property or other stories of dumped Shaimos.  all of the above already caused too much indignation in the  frum world, but not much has been done to rectify the situation. No more should we hear something like, the Lakewood municipality ordered a large shaimos-burial plot to be uncovered and the shaimos removed, because it was not done with legal authorization. All this is now being changed thanks to the Beth Genizah and yes we are very proud of this.

We Need Your Help.
B'H the whole season went OK, we did great, except some minor things here and there (like a glitch in front of our property. shown to your left) However, Beth Genizah already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars for this project, we need your help, If you would like to take part in this tremendous big mitzvah, of saving the name of Hashem billions and billions of times, please contact us today and will give you all the inform
ation you may need.

Thank you

We are the only Shaimos Company to ever get recognition from the DEC. when we received the authorization to bury Shaimos left after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. We thank them so much for being so helpful and understanding in a time of need, and it is our hopes to continue this great relationship with the DEC for many years to come.

Hikind Press Release and AP News Article - February 2013
Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) is delighted to announce the availability of a safe and respectful way to dispose of shaimos (books or other sacred objects which can no longer be used but may not be destroyed). The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has granted Beth Geniza Olam in Monroe, NY, authorization for the burial rights of religious articles recovered from cleanup efforts from the impact of Hurricane Sandy. This opportunity will also allow community members to bury other shaimos items during the coming month.

The first Genizah Cemetery in the US
For those who question what happens to Shaimos after it’s being dropped in the back of a truck? What happened to the Shaimos from last year? Where is all the Shaimos from the last 40 years? Where is the Genizah Property? Under who's supervision? Is it with the consent of the Government?

Beth Genizah Olem Cemetery is the answer. With its own gigantic piece of land. Major endorsements from Rabonim. Well known Rabbinical supervision. Proper Permits from State and Local Governments and with the support of Major Kehilos, Chevra Kadisha, Askunim, plus the support of many politicians and law enforcements. We are here to change the whole Shaimos industry one year at a time, no more throwing Shaimos to landfills, Rc"l no more dumping it at empty properties, no more dumping them at properties that hasn't been designated Strictly for Shaimos and more than anything we are here to stop the Chilul Hashem once and for all, we are here to restore the true purpose of Shaimos Legnizah which is to make a Kidush Hashem to properly store away or bury the Holy name of Hasem.

Beth Genizah Olam Cemetery: A New Standard in Shaimos Services
Shaimos internment has unfortunately been a problematic issue for decades, with the standard of service in this area leaving much to be desired. Much of the shaimos that people would carefully set aside for internment ended up in landfills.

About the Genizah:

For thousands of years the Jewish people have been putting aside all damaged or not-usable holy objects, such as the Torah, other holy Parchments and articles and holy books. This is called Shaimos.

We are forbidden by Hashem in his Torah not to discard his name in any way shape or form. we also need to respect his name even after we can no longer use that particular Torah or holy book etc. like we would respect any important person who died. meaning putting it away with safety and respect.

Putting Shaimos aside means not to place them in the Garbage or to burn the Shaimos. During the past history the world discovered many old Genizah's such as the Chiro Genizah or lately in Afghanistan and many times in Eretz Yisroel (Israel).

In most cases the Beth Genizah Olam will only put away the Shaimos to Storage in a safely manor on our properties. Only when this is impossible such as if its wet etc. The Vaad will than try to get the right Government approvals to bury it.

*

Visiting the Beth Genizah  is possible by appointment only
** Warning** Our 3 locations are heavily gated and locked under steady security. Dumping Shaimos without permission at any of our locations either in Monroe, Monticello or in Liberty will be considered like dumping it on the road of the town, with harsh consequences!!!

Vaad L'mishmeres Hashaimos.
Comprised of Gabaiem of major Jewish Kehilos in the USA

Under the Strict Supervision of the C.R.C. "Hisachdus Harabanim" and the OU "Orthodox Union".

*

The 5 big problems:
1) Shaimos internment is in violation of
the Law. 2) Most Shaimos trucks end up in landfills. 3) There are more and more Shaimos every year. 4) A proper Shaimos business cannot support itself.

*

The Vaad's Resolutions:
1) Every Shaimos truck should be affiliated with a major Kehilah. 2) Must have a prominent Hechsher. 3) Must be organized and "own" a property for burial etc. Or to be affiliated with one that has a property. 4) Must have certification from the Kehilah, the Hechsher and from the Vaad available at all times.

*

Beth Genizah:
Located in Sullivan County, New York. is overseen by the Vaad L’mishmeres Hashaimos, under the personal directorship of Reb Yosef Schwartz, Rav of Prag. Beth Genizah purchased over 25 acres specifically for this purpose, and has many other Genizah ideas, causing a breakthrough that is being applauded by the entire frum community.

Now for the
Rest of the Story

Shaimos internment has also been a problematic issue for decades

Read here some excerpts from Newspaper and some Videos about Scandals in the Shaimos Field

--------------------------

(From an Editorial Last Year)
Much of the shaimos that people would carefully set aside for internment ended up in landfills. In
better-case scenarios, they were buried in a manner that was not halachically proper, or in a manner that violated the legal requirements for the usage of the property. Just recently, the Lakewood municipality ordered a large shaimos-burial plot to be uncovered and the shaimos removed, because it was not done with legal authorization. Other stories of dumped Shaimos being discovered caused much indignation in the  frum world, but not much could be done to rectify the situation. All this is now being changed!!

Shaimos from Brooklyn ended up in Lakewood (and it really makes Larry upset. Really Larry Simons?)
This Chillul Hashem Should Never Happen Again. We must be Organized and do this the right way According to the DEP and according to Halacha.
